We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by a group of concerned parents seeking a place in their community that would provide a nurturing home and quality support services for their adult children with developmental disabilities. Everything we do is guided by a defined set of values.
As a nonprofit organization, our work is sustained through the faithful support of friends like you.
We’ve developed a number of giving programs and opportunities to make your decision to support the work of The Lifelong Learning Center as convenient as possible.

Medical Assistance Fund
Each month many of those we support have various medical needs such as visits to doctors, dentists, optometrists, ophthalmologists and various other specialists. Sometimes these visits are for routine care and other times they are for more serious needs. Medicaid covers some of these costs, but most often not all. Depending on each individual’s circumstances and whether these needs are covered by Medicaid or whether they have sufficient personal finances, not all of these doctor or dental visits are compensated back to The Lifelong Learning Center. This is also true of prescription drugs, over the counter medications, counseling and eyeglasses. In any given month, hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars are spent to provide medical care to individuals we support for which The Lifelong Learning Center does not receive any state or federal funding.
Other medical services provided by The Lifelong Learning Center to those served include a full-time and a part-time registered nurse who oversee the required record keeping and medical support given to the individuals served. Both of these registered nurses also provide medical support training for our direct support associates. We also employ fulltime medical support associates who specifically assist those we serve with arranging, transporting, and accompanying them to medical appointments. Please consider making a donation to support the Medical Assistance Fund. Your donation will help those served enjoy a healthy and happy life.
